Maple Sweet Tea

sweet teaIngredients:

6 tea bags

a pinch of baking soda

2 cups boiling water

3/4 cup maple syrup

6 cups cold water plus more ice

lemon slices to garnish

Sprinkle the baking soda into the bottom of a 64 oz heat proof pitcher. Add the boiling water and tea bags and steep thoroughly, about 15 minutes. 

Remove the tea bags and add the cold water and maple syrup. Refrigerate a few hours and serve with ice and lemon garnish.  You can always add more maple to taste!
